In February 2019, OSPRI notified all registered PICAs (persons in charge of animals) nationwide that they must update their user and location information in the NAIT online system. This is a mandatory requirement and is known as “NAIT re-registration”. It only needs to be done once.
The ability to trace movements of animals to the locations where they have been throughout their lifetime is vital. To do this effectively we need up to date information about the people responsible for NAIT animals and the locations of those animals. NAIT introduced a new way of mapping farm locations by selecting land parcels that is a more accurate way of identifying where animals are kept and have been.
