eASD is moving to MyOSPRI

If you’re using eASD, you’ll be aware that the system and its app are being replaced by MyOSPRI, our new online customer portal.

You’ll also know that, as part of that process, we’ll be migrating the details we hold about you in eASD (including any historic eASDs you may have) into MyOSPRI.

Originally scheduled for Monday 25 July, at the request of meat processors, we’ve brought our go live forward to 5pm on Sunday 24 July.

You don’t need to do anything right now.

When the new system goes live on 24 July, you’ll receive a link to get you started. However, the migration process does have some implications for using the eASD system to create new electronic farm-to-meat processor ASDs.

Important – eASD outage

As part of the migration process, we’ll be turning off the eASD system for 3 hours, from 7pm until 10pm on Friday 22 July. Once it’s back online, you’ll still be able to view your eASDs and process existing or in-flight ASDs, but no new ASDs will be able to be created in the system.

This means that no new electronic ASDs will be able to be sent from 7pm on Friday 22 July until MyOSPRI is live, at 5pm on Sunday 24 July. If you are transporting livestock over this weekend, you’ll either need to send eASDs in advance or use the paper ASD form. You can download the ASD form online.

Please note: The eASD system will remain live until Monday 8 August for any in-flight ASDs still needing to be processed by meat processing plants.

Signing up to MyOSPRI

If you already use the eASD system, signing up to MyOSPRI will be easy. On 24 July, we’ll send you an email containing a link to reset your current eASD password and asking you to check we have all of your details correct in MyOSPRI. All of your historic ASDs will be moved over to your new MyOSPRI account.

If you’re new to sending electronic ASDs, the link to sign up to MyOSPRI will be live on our website and sent out in the August OSPRI News email.

About MyOSPRI

MyOSPRI is our new online customer portal. In July it will replace the eASD system and, in time, it will allow farmers to view ASDs, NAIT and disease management information all in one place. It will make managing traceability and livestock movements easier online.

Replacing the eASD system is the first step in MyOSPRI’s development. Using it for electronic ASDs reduces on-farm administration. Recording data online makes it easier to trace animals and having a reliable animal tracing system plays a vital role in limiting the impact of a disease outbreak.

Paper ASDs are not being replaced - you can still use them. You can order a book of ASD forms from our website or order them from your local meat processor with the correct supplementary questions.

We're not replacing the eASD app, but you’ll be able to download and save MyOSPRI to your desktop or phone home page, much like an app.

You can attend one of our MyOSPRI farmer webinars scheduled throughout July, to help understand the new system.

You can register your interest and the webinar link will be sent to you. We’ll also be sharing recordings of these sessions on our website.
