Signing up for MyOSPRI

When you sign up for MyOSPRI you need to set up a new account, even if you already have logins for other OSPRI systems such as NAIT.

To ensure we can verify your identity and make sure you can't be confused with any other user:

  • you must be the only person who uses your email address in MyOSPRI — this also helps us trace the activities on your account
  • we ask for your date of birth — you also provide this when you register as a Person in Charge of Animals (PICA) in NAIT.

To sign up for MyOSPRI:

  • select the link below 
  • select Sign up to MyOSPRI
  • fill out your name, date of birth and email details
  • select Continue
  • fill out your phone number and address details
  • read the MyOSPRI terms and conditions
  • tick the Terms and conditions box if you agree to the terms
  • select Sign up
  • open the email you should then receive from MyOSPRI
  • select Set password
  • enter password
  • select Set password
  • select Back to MyOSPRI to return to the MyOSPRI login page.

Follow the link below if you were an electronic Animal Status Declaration (eASD) user and your details have already been moved over to MyOSPRI.

Changing your email address

To change your email address:

  • log in to MyOSPRI
  • select Manage my profile
  • select Change your email
  • enter your new email address
  • select Confirm
  • check your email inbox for a verification email and select Verify email. This will redirect you to the MyOSPRI login page
  • log in with your email address.

After you log in to MyOSPRI, select Manage my profile.

At the bottom of your contact details page in the section called Change your email, select Change.

A pop-up window appears where you can enter your new email address.

After you've entered your email address, select Confirm.

The next step is to check your email account for an email from us.

This asks you to verify your new email address by selecting the link Verify email.

This takes you to the MyOSPRI login page. Select Log in to log in with your new email address.

Verification emails

When you sign up, or change your email address, we send a verification email to the email address you sign up with. If you don't receive this, first check your spam folder as it may be in there. If it’s not, you can:

If you forget your password

If you forget your password, select the Forgot password link on the MyOSPRI login page, under the password text box.

The system will send a verification notice to your email address. The link in the email takes you to a screen where you can create a new password for MyOSPRI.

On the MyOSPRI login page select Log in.

On the login page select the link, Forgot password?, which is below the Password field.

A new page appears where you enter your email address. Select Continue.

The next step is to check your email account for an email from us with instructions about how to reset your password.

If you don't receive an email, on this screen you can select Resend email to try again.

In the email, select the link Click here. This takes you to a screen where you can enter a new password. You need to confirm your new password by entering it again in the field under the new password field.

Note that your password must be at least 8 characters and include at least 3 of the following: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers between 1 and 9, or special characters such as an exclamation mark or a hash.

To complete this task, select Reset password at the bottom of the screen.

You then get a confirmation that your password reset has been successful.
