How to reject a meat processing Animal Status Declaration (ASD) in MyOSPRI

Use this step-by-step guide to reject a farm-to-slaughter Animal Status Declaration (ASD) in MyOSPRI.

Log in to MyOSPRI and follow these steps.

  1. 1 Select Locations.
  2. 2 Select the correct meat processing plant.
  3. 3 Select pencil icon beside the ASD you would like to process.
  4. 4 Select Reject ASD.
  5. 5 Select the reasons why the ASD is incomplete.
  6. 6 Enter any notes to the farmer.
  7. 7 Select Save.

You can reject an ASD if:

  • animals are unfit to slaughter
  • animals are in a withholding period
  • you suspect the ASD is false or misleading
  • animals are excessively dirty
  • animals are imported
  • tallies are incorrect
  • you have a plant breakdown
  • you're affected by a natural disaster
  • you can't process stock for another reason — for example, your site is full.
