In this guide, we will go through running reports in the NAIT system.
The NAIT system has a number of reports within it that can assist you with keeping your NAIT number up to date. They can be useful in looking at animal and movement information.
Starting on the NAIT home screen, at the top of the page, select View reports. This will take you to a page where you can view a dropdown list of all reports available to you. These reports can range from tags you've purchased to animals that have moved on or off your NAIT location number. We'll look at the Animals moved onto NAIT number report.
When running any report, the system will ask you for information to set the parameters for the search. Most important is a date range. The further back you go, the more information that’ll be provided. You can set a narrow date range if you only want specific information.
If you have more than 1 NAIT number, it's important that you have the correct one selected to run the report against.
You can choose which columns of the report to show. Some may be more useful to you than others. You can keep all of them, or deselect the box beside the ones you don't wish to see.
After this, choose how you want to export the results. You can show it on the screen or you can export it as a CSV file. CSVs are better for a large amount of data and will download to your computer.
Once you press Run report, the system will prepare the information for you to view, and after that, you're good to go.
Please remember — all information that is provided to the NAIT system must be accurate at the time it's provided, and kept up to date. Thank you for supporting traceability and disease management in New Zealand.
