You can self-audit your NAIT account using the Compliance Summary function in the NAIT system.

A report showing the current status of your animals can be produced after you upload a file of NAIT RFID numbers scanned on live animals at your location. You will be able to see if animals are correctly registered and whether any details need updating.

Once a file is uploaded, the results will be grouped as follows:

  • animals registered at the NAIT number where animal status is:
    • alive
    • dead
    • missing
    • exported.
  • animals registered at a different NAIT number where animal status is:
    • alive
    • dead
    • missing
    • exported.
  • tags that are unregistered
  • animals recorded in a pending movement onto the NAIT number
  • animals recorded in a pending movement off the NAIT number.

You will be shown the total number of tags scanned that fit each category. You can also download a detailed results file which shows each RFID tag and the category that it falls into.

You will not be shown any information on animals registered to your NAIT number that were not in the upload file.

For best results, upload the file on the day of scanning and before any animals scanned move off your farm.

How to upload a Compliance Summary file

Before you start, ensure your tag scan file:

  • is current
  • includes RFID numbers only
  • is saved in a CSV format
  • is saved on to your computer where you can access it later.

Then, log in to your NAIT account. Select ‘Manage NAIT activities’ and then ‘View/update NAIT number registration details’. If you have more than one NAIT number, make sure you select the location where you scanned the animals.
