Registering with NAIT and TBfree
If you look after cattle or deer — or even have just 1 animal — you must register yourself or your organisation, and your location before you tag and register your animals.

If you manage cattle or deer, you must register with NAIT as the Person in Charge of Animals (PICA).
Register as a farming organisation
If your business runs a large number of farms, you may choose to register with NAIT as an organisation rather than as an individual Person in Charge of Animals (PICA).
Register the location of your animals
As the Person in Charge of Animals (PICA), you need to register all locations where you're in charge of cattle or deer.
Register for TB management
If you’re a Person in Charge of Animals (PICA), with a deer or cattle herd of any size, you need to register with us for TB management.
