How to update tag status

This file can be used to update the status of multiple tags at once in the NAIT system. For example, this may be to record that they have been lost or damaged.

Your CSV file will need to include all of the column headings, in the correct order. This includes headings for optional columns you are leaving blank.

ANAITRFIDThis is the unique 16 character code that relates to the NAIT tag. This information is provided by tag manufacturers or can be read with a scanner. It does not have to be provided if a NAIT Visual ID is provided. Examples that will be accepted include:

BActionRequiredLost = Lost (use if tag is lost, to record an animal missing use the animal update file)
Damaged = Dam (use if tag is unused but damaged)
Unused = Unused (this is the standard status of tags you have purchased that have not yet been applied to an animal)
Pre NAIT = P (this is the best code to use to 'clean up' your tag list so that it only shows those that are relevant to you now)
CNAITVisualTagIDThis is the information printed on the outside of the tag. It does not have to be provided if a NAIT RFID is provided.

DExternalRecord ReferenceYou can choose to enter a reference number of your own, e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4. This will make it easier for you to identify which record (row of your spreadsheet) is incorrect if you make a mistake in your CSV.
