New General Manager, Service Delivery for the North Island

We are pleased to announce that Helen Thoday has joined as the new General Manager, Service Delivery for the North Island.

Helen ThodayHelen is passionate about our industry and has spent her entire career in agriculture and the primary sector. Helen has a post graduate degree in agriculture, farm management, animal physiology, and infectious disease. She has continued to publish and speak internationally as well as being committed and involved with local rural community groups such as Rural Adult Literacy Trust, improved biodiversity, and Māori water rights.

Helen has come from our shareholder DairyNZ where she was the Senior Manager, Solutions and Development.

She worked in the agriculture sector whilst living in the UK, Falkland Islands and Canada. During her time with the Falkland Island Department of Agriculture her team were clearing the tussock islands of rats and removing reindeer off South Georgia Island in collaboration with the Norwegian government and the various South Atlantic conservation, surveying and research groups.

Helen and her partner live in Whakamaru (a good place to live as a keen multi-sport competitor). Helen will base herself at the Hamilton office but will be splitting her time across other locations in the North Island.

We’re very excited about Helen’s appointment, she will be a great addition to the team, North Island and OSPRI.
