Stock companies with many PICAs at a saleyard
- Each PICA needs to purchase their own tags for their own NAIT location number.
- Tags cannot be shared between stock companies.
Buying tags for your saleyard
Your saleyard PICA can buy tags for your locations to tag untagged animals or calves born at the saleyard.
Your saleyard PICA will need to have tags for animals arriving untagged or for calves born at the saleyard.
We recommend buying birth tags. Birth tags are tags for newborn animals. They can come with a NAIT RFID tag and a matching visual ID panel tag that makes it much easier to identify your animals.
Saleyard owners
- If you are the saleyard owner and the sole PICA, you need to purchase tags for use on all animals at the sale.
- If you are the saleyard owner but not an appointed PICA, you can't buy tags for use on animals.
