What information you need to enter

To re-register, all PICAs must re-enter details about themselves and their property in NAIT. If you haven't done this already, you still can.

Before you re-register, gather the following information:

the Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) parcels that make up your NAIT location
the number of cattle or deer at the location
details of the livestock at your location — for example, the production type of your herd, and the number of other animals you have.

What changed in NAIT

We introduced a new way of mapping farm locations by selecting land parcels. This is a more accurate way of identifying where animals are kept and their movements between properties.

How to re-register

1 Select My details.
2 Select Edit my details.
3 Check your personal details are correct and up-to-date. Select a preferred phone number, method and time for receiving information from us.
4 Update your NAIT location by selecting your NAIT location number at the bottom of the page.
5 Select the correct location type for your NAIT location number.
6 Enter your property's address.
7 Once you enter your address a map will appear, select Add parcels, and then the land parcels that make up your NAIT location. Select continue.
8 Check the information about your farm and the animals you have and edit the details if you need to — for example, add or remove PICA delegates.
9 Tick the box to confirm you're the Person in Charge of Animals (PICA) for this location.
10 If you have more than 1 NAIT location repeat steps 4 to 9.
11 Scroll to the bottom of the form, confirm that the information you've entered is correct and select Save.
